Plaque d'identité - grande bretagne second Lieutenant John Russell Seaforth Highlanders ww1

Hello les amis, une petite découverte émouvante ce weeck end sur la plage de Hardelot, une plaque d'identité militaire ( Ecossaise je pense ) ou peut être Britannique .
La plaque est en superbe état, mais retrouvé la famille reste assez compliqué car il y a peu d'éléments de gravés sur la plaque.

Magnifique plaque   

M.C. London Gazette 23 July 1918: ‘T./2nd Lt., Seaforth Highlanders. For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty while in command of a company during a retirement under the most trying circumstances, when he formed one of a very successful covering party. He also made a daring reconnaissance, and brought back valuable information. Later, in organising the defence of a strong point, he did admirable work, and greatly encouraged all those around him by his coolness under fire.’

John Russell was born in Kirkcaldy on 15 March 1894, and trained as a Biologist. He worked with the British Red Cross Society during the Balkan War of 1912-13. He was attached to the Royal Army Medical Corps, whilst an officer of the British Red Cross (Scottish Unit), and acted as assistant Bacteriologist at No. 11 Stationary Hospital, with the B.E.F., France, from 1 October 1914. In October 1915 he resigned to apply for a commission as a combatant officer but was enlisted in the ranks of the Highland Light Infantry, serving in France with the 14th Battallion and reaching the rank of Sergeant. He was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in June 1917 and posted to the 9th battalion, Seaforth Highlanders, becoming Lieutenant in November 1918. He is also entitled to the 1914 Star, British War and Victory Medals.

Il a reçu la Victoria Cross en 1917 en tant que Capitaine dans le RAMC.
 

 , je l'ai ai lu aussi sur le net, mais le problème c'est que Russell est apparemment un nom très répandu, donc la question est es ce le même ?

 les amis, bonjour Phiphi, comme tu le dis très souvent et je te rejoins à 100 %, une plaque militaire est personnelle, elle n'appartient pas à l'inventeur, mais à la famille du défunt soldat ou par bonheur au soldat tout court comme le soldat Wilkins.

Je fais ce post pour rendre la plaque à la famille, et marquer une autre belle histoire pour notre association et pour la détection de loisir en général.
Alors ceux et celles qui le peuvent , aidez moi ou plutôt aider nous c'est juste une histoire d'honneur et de bon sens avant tous.

Pour sa bravoure et son dévouement tout au commandement d'une compagnie au cours d'une retraite dans les circonstances les plus difficiles, quand il a formé l'une des partie couvrant beaucoup de succès. Il a également fait une reconnaissance audacieuse, et ramené de précieux renseignements. Plus tard, dans l'organisation de la défense d'un point fort, il a fait un travail admirable, et très encouragé tous ceux autour de lui par son sang-froid sous le feu

Afternoon i ve been contacted by a french detectorist ,he found a WW1 dogtag and he wanna return to the descendant of the Soldier .

I spend a bit of time looking for records and seems that the tag was lost while away from the front as he was promoted in 1918

Tag was found on the beach of HARDELOT (NORD PAS DE CALAIS) 170 km from Cambrais where following my researchs he was fighting around the time as he was promoted after the battles.
